cannot recognize tf card on AXT1800

I already checked this page and I have the same problem on both routers I bought.

I tried exfat and ext4 on two tf cards, no luck. And same to that page, the card reader can read tf card through USB.

I tried SSH to router, using df -h and cannot find tf card mounting either.

My firmware is 4.8.2 release 5, OpenWrt 23.05-SNAPSHOT.

any help is appreciated.

Please post the output of ll /dev/sd* & dmesg | grep 'sd'. Let's make sure the stor device is at least present even if it's not being automatically mounted (which is what df -h would show if it were).

Also post the output of lsmod | grep 'fat' & lsmod | grep 'uas'. Those kernel modules should be present for *FAT file systems & USB-related storage connectivity by default. It never hurts to check.

(Use ``` on the lines immed above, below to properly format it.)

Here’s the output:

btw 2 TF cards I use are 64GB and 128GB

That should be fine. I use a 128GB uSD in my Slate AX (I'm currently overhauling/working on ATM). It doesn't look like your cards have a file system partition on them. Here's the output of my Flint v1's 256GB USB formatted with F2FS. It should look the same for *FAT/EXT4 &/or a uSD:

root@flint:~# ll /dev/sd*
brw------- 1 root root 8, 0 Jan 1 1970 /dev/sda
brw------- 1 root root 8, 1 Jan 1 1970 /dev/sda1

Come to think if it, lsmod on my Slate AX running v4.8.0-beta9 only shows exfat & vfat. I wonder if EXT4 was removed from the 4.8.0 series?

Is the same TF card normal to recognize and read/write on the PC?

After you insert the card to router, please export the syslog and send it to me in PM, let us try to check it out.

Was the EXT file system support removed in the v4.8.x's, Bruce? I'm not seeing the kmod(s).

Sorry I already returned the goods ‘cause i am on a trip now. I am afraid i cannot give any supports on the device from now on. Wish this problem can be fixed in the future

Blah! I don't see them because I most likely removed them. Nevermind; my case is a probably interface problem between the chair & keyboard.
