Non recognition of TF card

Hi,
Using a AXT1800. I am using a 64g card. It works fine in the USB port with adaptor but it is not recognized as network storage when inserted directly to the router. The router kernel is 5.4.164 and the firmaware is 4.7.0 release8. I have tried different formats.

Hi,

  1. When inserted the TF card directly in the AXT1800 TF slot, does the GUI show that the storage device is loaded?

If there are other TF cards, please make a comparison test, insert it to the AXT1800 slot directly, does it work?

  1. Please share the issue syslog with us.

When the TF card is loaded directly it does not show the storage device is loaded. The same for an alternative card.

I have been trying to send the log file but cannot see how to send the file??

Please click my personal icon and message, it will create the PM channel with me, there you can send the syslog with me.

Please unplug the TF card first > reboot the router > insert the TF card > export the issue syslog in GL GUI > System > Log

Bruce, Each time I click the icon the message icon never appears??

Hello,

Receiver the syslog, I found the system report the TF/SD card has I/O error issue.

  1. Please reformat the TF card, such as NTFS, EXT4 or FAT.
  2. Please clean the gold fingers of the TF card.
  3. Please use the official included power supply to avoid insufficient current and fail to load the TF card.
  4. Please replace other TF cards to see if there are compatibility issues.

Hi Bruce,

I have tried two TF cards with Fat and NTFS formats. Both can be used on the router with an adaptor and plugged into the USB port but not directly plugged in. 1 is 32 GB and one is 64GB.
Still not recognized.

Please try install the v4.8.0 firmware in uboot, and test it one more time.

If no luck, I assume probably the issue is TF slot reader of AXT1800.
Please email contact to [email protected] if the router is under warranty.

I tried the Uboot but got an error message the firmware was incompatible. It is version 4.0.0.
Unless you have any other suggestions I will contact for a warranty claim.

For the file that install in uboot, is the "download for uboot" from firmware download center?

Yes the files were correct. It uploaded successfully but failed the verification test.
