After using the SIMPoYo eSIM, I was able to download the US mobile profile for both DarkStar (ATT) and LightSpeed (T-Mobile). Warp (Verizon) does not work. If you try to run this on a standard line, not a pool line, it will flag the line and suspend it.
I’m having trouble understanding what “this” means in above quote from you post?
I’m also having trouble understanding what “it” is referring to in above quote from you post?
So if you use a wireless router on usmobile network usmobile will flag your line and suspend it. You can only use the routers on us mobile with their pool lines
Hi @shahil2013
Thank you very much for sharing the information. My understanding is as follows, and I have two questions.
US Mobile renamed the three carrier networks to create product differentiation and present them as different service tiers. DarkStar corresponds to AT&T. LightSpeed corresponds to T-Mobile. These two networks are relatively friendly to routers, and if you use US Mobile pool lines they can work normally. Warp corresponds to Verizon. Warp has the strictest restrictions on non-phone devices such as routers, so it is almost impossible to use it on a router. Is this correct?
Regarding the meaning of “Warp (Verizon) does not work”, does it mean you can successfully download the profile on both standard lines and pool lines but the router cannot get online?
Or does it mean the profile download itself will fail?
That is correct tmobile and att are the most friendly to non phone devices. I got Verizon to work fine on other routers that support psim (physical Sim). Verizon doesn't care about what that Sim is inserted into. I got verizon to work on fortiextenders, netgear lm1200 just fine. But the mudi v2 was not able to get Verizon to work for the life of me. The Verizon psim would not connect to the lte network. The esim would download into the esim card. But usmobile would tell me that device is not supported and would refund me that line cost.
