Hi all,
Can the comet be powered by standard USB off a mini pc? Most probably 5V 0.5a. I know the power input says 5V 2.0a but is 2.0 amp necessary? Seems overkill to run another power adaptor.

Yes, It can be powerd by standard USB off a mini pc if you don't connet the USB port.
And once the mini pc is powered off the comet also will offline if you connect like that.

Thanks. Mini pc is server and is set to recover power after power outage, so is always on unless there’s a power outage. Should be fine then.

If choice then I'd use USB 3.

I would also pay more for a POE model.
