Indeed these ugly trick is working .
is the integrated esim card supported? on the shop page of mudi v2 its written mudi v2 has both integrated esim and also supports physical esim card.
There is not a built-in esim chip on Mudi v2, it does not support integrated esim.
Very unhappy to here that. Description at web page was so confusing that I was 1000% sure there there is a hardware support for eSIM but still in development. Now it looks that it’s not (something has changed?). GL-iNet is very promising at product page but when you buy it it turns out that’s it’s very unstable product in permanent beta (or maybe even Alfa) firmware stage. I probably will never but another GL-iNet router because I’m rather convinced that it never be a stable and reliable product. They are announced another great product (Mudi 7) but maybe it’s better then promise us all pie in the sky finish product and support customers that already gave you their money (bought “old” Mudi v2)?
Hello,
May I know any questions you have?
The latest firmware for Mudi v2 is supported eSIM management. Once insert the GL.iNet eSIM card, it will display.
The Mudi v2 hardware does not build-in an eSIM chip, but Mudi 7 has an integrated eSIM chip.

Could you please point my to these working version? To get my (physical) eSIM working I’d to install 4.8 beta train version (see posts above).

Description at the web page (for me) is very confusing:
Experience seamless connectivity with the Mudi V2, fully compatible with GL.iNet’s advanced eSIM solution, which supports both physical eSIM cards and integrated eSIM chips.
What means: “integrated eSIM chips”? I’m almost sure that I’ve seen (at forum?) statements that eSIM (not physical eSIM) i “not supported yet”.
Hello,
You can currently install v4.8.3 to use the eSIM card; this version will always display the eSIM management menu, regardless of whether an eSIM card is inserted.
If install v4.3.26, the eSIM management menu will only display after an eSIM card is inserted and recognized, it is hidden by default.
For integrated eSIM chips in Mudi v2, it will only support in large-volume orders for the 2B channel. (Click "LEARN MORE" below this paragraph)
It’s beta firmware right?
But description at web page is VERY unclear and suggest that it will be available even in “civil versions” too….
As I said before: support current customers rather promising that “new product” will be better that one you already bought it.
Yes, v4.8.3 is currently in beta.
We apologize for the misunderstandings caused, and will be more rigorous with content review.
