I have a question about the LCD Touch Screen functionality on the Mudi V7. It's a very important and useful feature.
Will the screen driver be open-source? Will it be configurable for users? Will it be possible to add custom screens, widgets, and display specific information, as well as program custom actions for touch inputs?
That’s great. The battery and cellular/wifi/rj45 options make it much better TRAVEL router than Beryl/Slate and similar options. As long as it delivers similar performance in other areas and there are no other downsides like poor software/driver support or something. OpenWRT based and compatible with vanilla OpenWRT, right?
The specs that have been released so far are awesome! It also makes me pretty excited to see what the next Spitz/Puli will look like. I’m also really loving the ability to add external antennas when needed/desired. Given the battery and external antenna support, I feel like this could even replace the Puli line entirely.
The list of participants for the Mudi 7 testing program will likely be finalized within the next two weeks.
Marketing department is preparing to close applications and begin the joint review and selection process of all applications by multiple departments.
I think that those who have been selected and successfully entered into the Mudi 7 testing program will receive their Mudi 7 test units before January 26th, 2026.
Sooo very excited for this. I still use my Mudi all the time despite having an X3000NR and Slate7, it is just to convenient to have an all-in-one device like that (plus physical switch I can have connect to wireguard). Can’t wait!
This will be HUGE, especially with a physical Ethernet port! I really hope they allow me the opportunity to beta test this device! Love my GL-iNet devices.
I wanna join the beta program. I love my flint routers but my mudi… it struggles to run it's own os yet alone a vpn tunnel. I get 10 down on home WiFi. Having to set low tx and only using 2.4 to try and extend the battery life. Having a portible product that can run ad guard that allows blocking Samsung or other phone specific domains will be really powerful but I can't dream of doing any thing fancy on the v2 due to its crippling limitations I just want something more polished like a mini portable flint router with in reason
I see that Mudi 7 will have replaceable battery - do you know if second (spare) battery can be bought separately? It would be nice to have second battery as a backup for longer life…
I would be worried that my Mudi 7 would be confiscated by Chinese airport authorities because it has a big lithium battery and looks like a power bank. Could the Mudi 7 have a CCC sticker and perhaps a notice in Chinese saying, “NOT a power bank”?
I think the Mudi 7 is a great product!
Compact size, powerful performance!
But sorry, registration for the Mudi 7 test program has ended.
Please pay more attention to the forum or official website, and more speak, discuss, and contribute in the community. You will find the new products in first time, and when we do screening after you apply to test program, we will select testers based on community contributions.
Let's see you in the next new product beta program!

Will the Mudi 7 have pass-through capabilities? So that we can use the device and charge it at the same time without damaging the battery?
Also interested in knowing if the battery can be removed and it can only run powered via USB C without the battery inside. I think pass-trough feature is important.
Last question. Instead of using the ethernet port, can the usb c port be used to establish an ethernet /Internet connection to the pc by using usb c as the connectivity standard?
