[Feature request] Replace Wireguard with AmneziaWG

Did the same but with MT-3000 as client and MT-6000 as the server but my connection from the client appears to be going through the regular Wireguard VPN protocol rather than the Amnezia one!

Enable obfuscation on the MT6000 server, check via ip -d link show dev wgclient1 on the MT3000 (client) SSH

Hello! Please enable amnesiawg on another gl-inet routers!!! Great work

is it possible to run AmneziaWG on WRT version > 21?
The issue is that I have an MT1300 WRT22, on which I use V2Ray (though I had to expand the system storage using a memory card), and I also have an MT3000, which is more powerful and modern - but unfortunately runs WRT2.1 (which supports AmneziaWG), and on that device, I couldn’t get V2Ray to work at all. However, AmneziaWG works flawlessly! So ultimately, I’d like to run everything on the MT3000
Does anyone have any suggestions or advice on this?

Hello,

The AmneziaWG preview model includes MT3000 at now.

I'm not sure about MT1300 firmware supports or not, maybe the firmware is too big to add this function.

Regarding manual installation/support, you can consult the AmneziaWG team.

[Feature request] Replace Wireguard with AmneziaWG - #165 by bruce

@bruce - I’m close to building and publishing working AMZ packages for AXT1800 (SlateAX) 4.8.2 op23.05 (stock), but am running into a missing bit when trying to build from wlan-ap.

wlan-ap/openwrt$ ./scripts/gen_config.py list | head
Profiles in /wlan-ap/openwrt/profiles
indio_um-525axm
yuncore_fap655
edgecore_eap111
edgecore_oap101e
indio_um-305ac
emplus_wap380c
udaya_a6-od2
emplus_wap385c
x64_vmware

There’s no config profiles for the axt1800 platform in the repo. I’m going to assume GL keeps a private version. Is this something you can share, even privately? I’m going to try to work with something close like IPQ807x, but it would be really appreciated if I could build more precisely. This will be utilized for a lot of my customers running GL products.

Hello,

Please contact [email protected] by email, our team will evaluate whether the information you provided meets our requirements.

BTW, AXT1800 already supported in list of Vanilla OpenWrt. If possible, it is worth trying.

Hello Bruce, please enable amnesiawg on state 7 aka be3600!!!

Thank you, @bruce . I’ll reach out to the team directly. I know vanilla is already possible, but for many of my (and GL’s) users, that’s not a realistic option. This is ā€œat scaleā€ with dozens of different user setups weekly.

Hello, everyone! Can you tell me how to run amneziawg on a Puli XE300 router?

I have a MT1300 router to test. Is it possible to use the microsd slot to extend storage?

Future firmware will support it.
It's just a small-scale test right now, please wait for the v4.9 or higher firmware for Slate 7.

Should be possible, but it requires some configuration.

Here you go:

Hey, MT6000 got a Beta with obfuscation, V4.8.99. Is it there version you are talking about?

Yes, v4.8.99 supports amneziawg

I meant if it’s possible to extend the storage so we can use the 4.9 firmware to support amneziawg support

External things always have instability risks/factors, I think I cannot suggested users to use them in this way. In addition, the hardware performance of MT1300 may not be able to support the operation of complex obfuscation algorithms.

@bruce How long before the Amnezia Wireguard gets to the OpenWRT24 build for the Flint 2?

My current VPN is getting blocked eveywhere (Wireguard). I see that Windscribe are now advertising they are now compatible with Amnezia Wireguard (Not sure if it can be configured on the router though). Seems like Amnezia wireguard may be a solution to all of this blocking going on.

I know Amnezia Wireguard is available in your 4.899 build but would prefer the OpenWRT24 build. Just an idea approximately when it would make it’s way to the OpenWRT 24 build.

Yes, although this experimental firmware supports AmneziaWG server I am unsure whether this beta firmware supports AmneziaWG client, or does it?
