i will be happy if it is 1-2 months and not half a year or longer.

Thanks for the tag but I no longer have a working Flint2, also iGLinet doesn’t make it available in my country yet.

To me both of my Flint 2 uses my own version of OpenWrt, the only routers available to test 4.9 is Brume3 which is directly on my pc, and Beryl 7 :+1:

As of main backend with my complex network I think using 4.9 is too much of a challenge especially because with the mtk sdk overhead.

Thank you! Downloaded just now.

Thanks for the notification @Lun . This firmware certainly looks like it deserves a completely clean uBoot install for proper testing which is what I am embarking on just now.

The new VPN Dashboard needs some getting used to but overall the change is really good. A small problem that I found is that one a search is done for a particular client to include/exclude, then the result is stuck, the search bar is completely lost and there is no way to return back to the whole list of clients without completely exiting dashboard and returning back to it again. I have attached some screenshots:

When will the beta version 4.9.0 be released for the Flint 3e.

Hi

Could you clarify the exact steps to reproduce the issue?

We tested the DoQ feature locally on Flint 3 v4.9.0 beta3, and it appears to work properly whether configured under Network → DNS or Applications → AdGuard Home.

Version:

Network - DNS:

Application - AdGuard Home:

Hi

We tested locally using BE9300 v4.9.0 beta3 and were unable to reproduce the issue.
In AP mode, it does not broadcast Guest or IoT Wi-Fi.

Could you check in LuCI → Network → Wireless to see whether the corresponding SSIDs are enabled?

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback—we’re able to reproduce the issue.
We’ll have our R&D team investigate and work on a fix.

Flint 2, 4.9.0 Beta; Cloudflare speedtest results in unusually high jitter values under load with SQM enabled. Cake and fq_codel show similar results. Jitter will often show 100-200 ms instead of single digits.

luci-app-sqm in OpenWRT 25.12.2 doesn’t behave this way, with stable jitter results throughout the test

hi, when I try to activate DPI function, I have this error on flint 2

Hi

Could you please follow the tutorial below to export a backup file of Flint 2 at v4.9.0 beta and send it to us via private message so we can review it locally?

Additionally, if possible, please also export the backup files for OpenWRT 25.12.2 so we can compare them.

Hi

Thank you for your report.
We have reproduced the issue locally and will ask the development team to look into it.

Update:

This issue appears to occur intermittently.
Please try enabling DPI a few more times if you encounter it.

Our R&D team is currently investigating the root cause.

Hi, Flint 2, v4.9.0 beta
Frontend bug. When changing any network settings, like IP range, or DNS setting. Hit Apply → Web page will stuck in Proccessing please wait. Simple refresh helps, settings applied.

Hi Will,

My version:

This is my configuration:

and test:

As you can see, the number of DNS requests is zero now that I’ve enabled DNS over QUIC on the router

and DNSleaktest con DNS over QUIC activated:

Another very important point is that I’ve carried out several tests and, in my opinion, if AdGuard is active, the 2.4GHz IoT Wi-Fi network cannot access the internet.

Hi

This is expected behavior.
After modifying the IP or DHCP settings, there will be a lengthy wait time for the changes to take effect and be validated.

Once the changes are confirmed, it will show “Applied” and will not remain stuck in a waiting state.
