Yes you can! I have v4.8.2 installed on my Flint 2 and when I open the AdGuard Home console, I have the ‘Update’ button. As I did with v4.7.7.
Again, you just need to remove a piece of config from the /etc/init.d/adguardhome file.

I did raise the issue of AGH but I just got a reply why do you want to upgrade it, that’s why I didn’t feel they were looking into it, but anyway yes editing the file works fine if you have a router with limited space just delete the back up files, like previously said I may put back my Flint 2 because Flint 3 hasn’t got a firmware that you can upgrade AGH, I do like the new interface and running different tunnels but there is another issue which I’ve already raised but I’m sure that will be fixed.

I would recommend to use [Script] Update AdGuard Home :slight_smile:
Safe, easy, fast. Tested on many GL devices.

I’m pretty sure 4.8.2 was the cause of my recent network issues and downgrading back to 4.7.7 seems to have fixed it, though downgrading did break the router and I had to soft-reset.

While using 4.8.2 with AdGuard, I was experiencing:

  • DNS failing for many common sites at random, having to wait and keep refreshing until it worked
  • Random and inconsistent high latency
  • General slowness even when accessing local network services

The issue is TCP multipath. My script [Script] Update AdGuard Home will disable it for AGH.

Have you tried the op24 fw version ? i went from 4.7.7 to 4.8.2 stabvle op21, got problems with 4.8.2 and now im on 4.8.2op24 and i dont want to go back to the op21 stuff for sure… wlan works fine with op24 as far as i can tell.

Hello, do you have an update on when this issue will be resolved?

Encryption (HTTPS/QUIC/TLS) has never been enabled so the suggested workaround does not apply to me.

If you haven't configured Encryption (HTTPS/QUIC/TLS), then it might be a different issue.

Could you share more details about your problem so we can help?

DOH and DOT works with 4.8.3.

Edit: tested with the new firmware and everything is working again.
