Flint 4 - WiFi localisation issue?

Hi,

Been setting up my Flint 4 over the last 24hrs. So far so good, performs fantastic. Connecting 30 odd devices around my house. However i hit a brick wall with one device: My boiler! It’s a Viessmann 100-W.

No matter what i did, i couldn’t get it to connect to my WiFi. Bare in mind i came from a Flint 2 > Flint 3 > Flint 4, and haven’t had an issue before. Anyway, after checking all the obvious, it turns out that the country code for wifi was defaulting to DE, and I’m in the UK. Changed this via SSH to GB and it instantly connects. Which is great! However, why is GB not listed in the country codes for wifi?

First did “iw reg set GB” then spotted region was set to FCC too, which i think should be ETSI for my region (?) anyway, everything reconnects however restarting wifi throws up lots of “FAIL” and “Invalid arg: errno=2(No such file or directory)” in ssh, i’ve no idea what they’re relating too. I can only assume i need a firmware fix for this. After consulting the wonders of AI, it tells me this was a common issue in the past too, so perhaps the wise and wonderful folks here know a better fix than forcing it via ssh?

Aside from that though, best router i’ve ever owned! The fact i can use SQM without hitting a cpu bottleneck for my full 2Gb internet connection now is fantastic, Flint 2/3 could only copy with half that.

Would it work if you edit /etc/config/wireless there should be a country option there.

The related country/region options in LuCI are still being adapted and will need some more time to be improved.
