GL DDNS Available with Vanilla Openwrt?

If I were to flash my Flint 2 MT6000 with the current stable release 24.10, is it possible to still use the GL DDNS feature? I suspect that option is baked into GL's proprietary FW, but being new to this environment figured it wouldn't hurt to ask.

It would be nice to have the option of using dynamic dns in Openwrt without needing to sign up for a 3rd party service if the validation was by serial number or something...

The validation happens by MAC + Serial (and cert, in newer versions, if I remember right)
So no real solution to get it to work, no :frowning:

However you might give this script a try, but I am not sure if it still works: glinet.forum/scripts/glddns-behind-another-router at main · Admonstrator/glinet.forum · GitHub

But should be easy to modify, if you know SN and MAC

Thanks for the suggestion - I'll definitely try that.

EDIT - and today I learned that uci has a 'show' command  CLI really makes me feel like a hacker

EDIT 2 - I also found the use for Putty's logging feature lol (show has a whole lot of variables)

There's some good free (and by some reports more reliable) ones out there - such as afraid.org.

Thanks for the link - somehow I missed that option Googling around for free ddns services. No-ip works, but the 30 day check requirement is a pita.
