GL-E750 MUDI V2 - 4G- Issues with SIM Card Registration and Internet Connectivity on GL-E750

Subject:

Dear GL.iNet Support Team,

I am writing to seek assistance with ongoing issues with my GL.iNet GL-E750 router, which is having trouble with SIM card registration and intermittent internet connectivity. I have tested the device with SIM cards from two French carriers, Free and Bouygues Telecom, but the problem persists. Here are the detailed issues and device information:

Device Information:

  • Hostname: GL-E750
  • Model: GL.iNet GL-E750
  • Architecture: Qualcomm Atheros QCA9533 ver 2 rev 0
  • OpenWrt Version: OpenWrt 22.03.4 r20123-38ccc47687
  • Kernel Version: 5.10.176

Issue Description:

  • Initially, I successfully connected to the internet using a Bouygues Telecom SIM card, but after switching to a Free SIM, the device has failed to register the SIM card correctly, and I can no longer access the internet with either carrier.
  • Despite the device sometimes recognizing the carrier network, there is often no internet connectivity.
  • The device logs indicate repeated USB modem disconnection and reconnection, which may be related to the issue.

Troubleshooting Steps Already Taken:

  • Confirmed both SIM cards work in other devices.
  • Updated device firmware and all related drivers.
  • Reset the device to factory settings and reconfigured network settings.
  • Inspected for physical damage or loose connections in the SIM card slot and USB ports.

Additional Details:

  • The operators tested are French: Free Mobile and Bouygues Telecom. Bouygues Telecom worked once, but after switching to Free, I’ve encountered consistent problems. Even reverting to the Bouygues SIM hasn’t resolved the issue.

Given these challenges, I seek your guidance on diagnosing and resolving these issues. Are there specific settings, firmware updates, or adjustments you recommend for improving compatibility and stability with French carriers?

I am willing to provide further information, logs, or perform additional tests as needed.

Thank you for your support.

Best regards,

You may have to learn what TTL are.

Also learn what APN is. Different internet company uses different APN. Also it is not a good idea for me to tell you what to put on these for legal reasons. You have to find them by doing your own research.

I also advised you don’t revealed for what phone or internet serviced provider you trying using it for on the on the internet.

Can you please give more info about which ttl to add ?

Change TTL to 65

AND

change the IMEI to match your phone’s IMEI

you can also try a different TTL like:

Can you post screenshot and system log?

It recognize the sim, connect and get an IP address?

What apn are you using? Generally apn is the issue.
