I did not take a picture. It simply had the "No Internet" message under the name of the service provider. I've seen the message before but this time it was there for hours after I restarted the device.
I had already used the 'WAN' setting fix as advised by members of this forum.
I tried to use it again today and it seems the issue is not resolved. Something about powering off the device and leaving it off for hours (or days) seems to reset it to a stupid, useless state.
The last time I could at least get other devices to see the network. This time around even that is too much to ask for.
Whoever created the fw does not know what they are doing. This is either a completely useless device or a malicious one. Powering off a device should not be grounds for it become defective.
The annoying "No Internet" message is once again prominent on this POS GL.INet GL-E750V device.
I have tried to get it to work with three different networks, both of which work on other devices.
I have hard reset the device.
I have reset the firmware.
All to no avail.
Below I will post the logs.
system:
kernel:
Was finally able to get some use of this device after reinstalling legacy firmware and updating only for the box of excrement to revert to its default, unusable state after turning it off for a few hours.
Currently unable to even connect to the device to change settings. Whoever is responsible for the firmware is highly incompetent. Dreadfully so.
Anyone looking for a travel router should look elsewhere.
Ehm, ok.
Do you understand where this message came from? It's from the interface tracking. So if the ping / dns lookup needed for that, fails, you will get this message.
Please provide the requested information, or nobody is able to help you.
If you just want to shout out that the device is "shit", feel free to do so - won't solve your issue.
