GL.iNET Flint 2 (GL-MT6000) VLAN Setup

I need help to setup vlan for my IP cameras on MT6000, can someone help me or share an article that I can follow, my switch is connected to LAN port and NVR is also connected to another LAN port on this router.
all cameras are connected to switch.
additionally I'm unable to add another SSID. can someone tell me how to create that using Putty (Luci).

Thanks

For vlans best is to look to onemarcfifty:

^ for a narrow explaination navigation for current DSA switch.

^ vlans explained in 3 minutes, the difference between tagged/trunked and untagged.

as for the managed switch, depending if you want another managed switch involved in the future, i can also help with this

as for a extra ssid... this is not hard to accomplish if you go into luci, then navigate to network -> wireless.

Then click on add button there you can automaticly make another ssid and assign networks.

Thank you so much, I'll try to follow.

there is also another video of onemarcfifty i believe where he talks about roaming or access points where he also shows how he sets his vlans in the managed switch.

If you happen to get issues with the switch setup please feel free to let me know with the config you have then :+1:

I don't have managed switch, I used that just to connect my cameras and wants to put that on separate network and disable communication from internet for cameras.

Ah, well it should be fine for now, but alot of unmanaged switches can strip vlan tags this is something to be aware off when you plan to expand your network further in the future and when you want more vlans involved over the switch.

In that case maybe vlans are not needed yet, you can maybe also go for a routed port.

Maybe this can also work?

In that case the only change you need to make for the port assignment is:

go to luci -> network -> interfaces and click on the tab devices.

edit br-lan, and then remove the port you want to be used where the switch is connected on.

then follow the link i sent and where the interface is created make sure the interface has the device selected of the port you previously removed from br-lan.
