GL-MT6000 Cannot install SQM

Hello

I've just received the router today but I'm having trouble with missing dependencies when trying to install SQM in the default UI and Luci. I've searched and it looks like others are using it.

Within Luci, I'm warned with the following:

  • Required dependency package iptables-mod-ipopt is not available in any repository.
  • Required dependency package kmod-sched-cake is not available in any repository.

In the default UI, I receive the following:

Collected errors:

  • pkg_hash_check_unresolved: cannot find dependency iptables-mod-ipopt for sqm-scripts

  • pkg_hash_check_unresolved: cannot find dependency kmod-sched-cake for sqm-scripts

  • pkg_hash_fetch_best_installation_candidate: Packages for sqm-scripts found, but incompatible with the architectures configured

  • opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package sqm-scripts.

  • Current Firmware

  • Version4.5.8

  • Firmware Type release4

Could anyone help please?

Some advanced packages are missing in the GL repository.

The best way, for advanced usage, would be to switch to plain OpenWrt. Then you can work with all available packages inside the OpenWrt repo.

Or you could wait until GL pushed those packages into the repo as well.

Thank you. I'll need to do some reading before I take that step, I like the built in Adguard.

Same thing with the beta firmware as I posted

GL-MT6000 Flint 2 - SQM not shaping upload speed after a reboot

They really should add a built in SQM with the default cake OpenWrt settings like I said, a lot of people use it but it seems like we’re gonna have to wait a long time
