Thank you for reaching out. I am still undecided between several travel routers within the very tempting GL.iNet product portfolio.
However, I have some reservations due to reports from other customers about performance issues with the Opal, such as random reboots. These concerns make me hesitant to choose it as a Christmas gift for a very important family member who will be traveling extensively next year.
Additionally, the person is not very tech-savvy. My plan is to set everything up in advance so that they would only need to connect to existing hotel or airport Wi-Fi with a VPN connection.
The price is very appealing, especially during Black Friday.
While this deviates slightly from @Ricesteam topic, I am eager to find out if the setup was successful.
