GL-SFT1200 in Repeater Mode, connected to the building's WiFi.
Several devices connected WIFI
One device connected through Ethernet
Often after the router reboots, it does not re-enter Repeater Mode. Navigating to 192.168.8.1 shows the Repeater is OFF.
Can this please be addressed? That setting is extremely important to be retained across reboots, as it can take an entire network down for a really silly reason.
Thanks, it doesn't reconnect. I went out of town, the router reset itself and never came back online for the entire week I was away. Upon return, Repeater Mode was disabled.
Happy to provide a log, but the default log length is tiny and only goes back an hour. How do I set the log length to be unrestricted?
If this is the issue, I'm open to scripting the Repeater to re-enable once per hour, or whatever fixes this situation.
It's really disruptive to lose access to my network when I'm working remotely, and have literally no way to reboot/re-enable the Repeater from afar. At least if I added a command to cron to simply "re-enable Repeater" every x minutes, the network would at least eventually come back online.
Hi there, this is still an ongoing issue - and is particularly bad because I'm using remote devices in a different city, and have to get someone to visit the location in person to simply click "Enable Repeater".
Please can you offer a scripted solution? All that needs to happen is, maybe once every 5 minutes, if Repeater mode was selected, ensure Repeater is Enabled/Connected to default device.
Literally, I'm having someone go to the office to click "Enable/Connect" and then it starts working. Please can we automate this process, this is very disruptive and seems so simple to fix. I really appreciate it!
Really less important to me why this is happening, and more just need a solution. This is happening every few days - the SFT1200 disconnects (for whatever reason), then Repeater Mode suddenly is Disabled. Just need this to automatically re-enable and re-connect on a regular interval.
