Hey there - just got a new KVM that does support keyboard hotkeys hoping that it would work with the GL-RM1 and I’m not having much luck with this model (Peresal 4x1 HDMI KVM Switch w/Multi-Viewer, 4K 60Hz Quad HDMI Screen Divider Switcher, 4 in 1 Out Seamless Switching with 4xUSB A 3.0 Cables, Quick View for Camera, PC, Laptop, Fire Stick, Roku).
If I configure the Shortcuts to be Scroll-F1 (through F4), it’ll change the screen, but the mouse will not show up. Here is the manual which is confusing…
I have tried these things:
- Disabled virtual media (also tried with it enabled)
- Tried connecting GL-RM1 to both Keyboard and Mouse USB ports - both of these ports will let the hotkeys go through to the KVM Switch, however mouse doesn’t work.
- Two other USB KVM switch ports do not “have access” to use the hotkeys
- I can confirm my usb wireless keyboard/mouse work directly when plugged into the keyboard port on the KVM switch.
- Also tried changing the keyboard/video types on GL-RM1.
Are there other steps I’m missing? Any better ways to debug this?
