GL-SFt1200 repeater mode doesn't work

In “repeater mode” constantly loses connection with the AP. I’ve tried different settings, but without the proper result. Doesn’t work, almost. It looks like not enough power of power supply.

Can you try another power adapter?

It seems that the problem is only in the 2.4 GHz band. In 5GHz repeater mode, the router works great!

2.4G is more prone to interference. Let’s keep using 5G.

  1. “I reside in Tiga and am currently the only resident. Your device is not functioning in 2.4 repeater mode.”
  2. “The parenting device indicates that it is experiencing significant data loss, but the signal strength is strong at -59.”

It looks like the problem only occurs with MikroTik routers. I have tried different models but the result is the same - in 2.4 GHz it does not work as “Repeater”. SFT1200 constantly loses connection with AP with message"significant data loss."

So you mean when connecting to Mikrotik router as repeater, right? Do you have the model of Mikrotik router?

Yes, when I connect to MikroTik AP in 2.4 repeater mode, it doesn’t work properly. Loses connection constantly. But in repeater 5GHz mode works fine! Tried different models of MikroTik devices. For example, MikroTik hap ac2 and MikroTik hap lite give the same result. Looks like problems in 2.4GHz-N-Band

When I start checking the connection speed with the speedtest, at the begining everything goes well, then all of a sudden it loses the connection and the test fails.

Can you do a test connecting 2.4GHz WWAN to MicroTik and 5GHz WLAN to client device? I get disconnects with 2.4GHz on both WWAN and WLAN.

I do not work for and I do not have formal association with GL.iNet.

It does not work! Constantly loses connection with AP MikroTik

IT does not work! Constantly loses connection with AP MikroTik

GL-SFT1200 Noise level of 0 dBm does not look right. It should be -80 to -110 dBm.

GL-SFT1200 Noise level of 0 dBm does not look right. It should be -80 to -110 dBm.

It appears to be a software bug that does not show the actual noise level.

At first I thought everything was ok in 5GHz, but now I see the same problems in 5GHz repeater mode. In this mode, GL-SFT1200 simply does not work. And I do not see any help from Technical support. This router is really raw.

We will get a Mikrotik AP and test.

Here is the log. Maybe this will help find a solution
