Hi,
I'm using a GL.iNet GL-X3000 (RM520N modem) with an EIOTCLUB eSIM in slot 2.
The eSIM contains multiple profiles:
-
EIOTCLUB → was already on the esim when bought --> works perfectly (data + IP assigned)
-
Ubigi → was puchased separatly --> does NOT work
Problem
With the Ubigi profile:
-
Modem registers to network (Telekom DE, 5G NSA)
-
Signal and registration are fine
-
But:
-
no data connection
-
no IP address assigned
-
Settings used
-
APN:
mbb -
Authentication: none
-
PDP: IPv4
Logs (relevant)
requestSetupDataCall QMUXResult = 0x1, QMUXError = 0xe
call_end_reason_verbose = 210
After forcing IPv4:
udhcpc: sending discover
(repeats, no lease)
Final result:
Dial-up is failed using network configuration
Conclusion
-
Hardware + modem OK (EIOTCLUB works)
-
Network registration OK
-
Issue seems specific to Ubigi profile / APN / PDP setup
-
Same eSIM works with another profile (EIOTCLUB) on the same device - Works with EIOTCLUB APN out-of-the-box
-
Firmware is up-to-date
-
Ubigi fails specifically at data call / DHCP stage
-
Within that post it seems to work: Carriers supported by GL.iNet physical eSIM - Routers / Cellular, USB modems - GL.iNet Official Forum
Question
Has anyone successfully used Ubigi Profile in combination with an EIOTCLUB eSIM on GL-X3000 / RM520N?
Are there special APN rather then mbb which I have configured or modem settings required for Ubigi on routers (within Germany)?
Thanks!
