GL-X3000: SIM Card Not Registered Issue - Need Assistance

Hello GL.iNet Community,

I’m experiencing an issue with my GL-X3000 modem. Despite several attempts to connect to the Cellular network, the modem consistently shows the error: “SIM card not registered”. Here is what I’ve tried so far:

1.	Changing IMEI: Following some forum suggestions, I have modified the IMEI number, but this did not resolve the issue.
2.	Activating Filter Bands: I attempted to set up filter bands to ensure compatibility with my carrier’s frequencies, but this also didn’t help.
3. Applying Additional Commands**: I applied several commands suggested by other users. As a result:

• The port changed from /dev/QMC to /dev/cdc-wdm0.

Protocol options such as qmi and 3g appeared in the modem settings.

Despite these changes, the modem still fails to register the SIM card and connect. I even performed a factory reset, but the port and protocol settings remained altered.

I am using a compatible SIM card that works perfectly fine on other devices, so I believe the issue might be specific to the modem or its configuration.

I’ve attached the connection logs and screenshots of my configuration settings for reference. Any guidance or suggestions from the community would be greatly appreciated. If anyone has experienced similar issues or has insights on other settings I might try, please let me know.

Hi Bruce,

I have similar issue here with my GL-E750V2C6 purchased last December.
I wanted to use it with my nano-sim card of Mobile Viking that are using the Proximus Network in Belgium. The device shows that there is no service. However, I connected with Mobile Vikings and they confirm that they do not restrict the usage of their simcards for routers.
I also tried this advice Gl-INET GL-E750 Mudi T-Mobile Setup : r/GlInet. It did not work.

Hello,

Is this SIM used normally on the phone?
Does this SIM card require an APN?

Please share the syslog with us to check the SIM situation.

I'm wondering if the APN is correct?

Sim won't connect to the network if the address is wrong, and will give completely different speed profiles depending on the APN used to access the network.
