GL-XE300 - USB Reset

Good evening everyone,

we use several GL-X300 routers to control USB Kmaeras. Unfortunately, they go into charging mode after a certain amount of time. So far, this can only be resolved when we unplug and plug in the camera via USB on site. All previous attempts with “usbreset” or “hub-ctrl” or via GPIO have not brought me closer to a solution to map this automatically.

Are there ways to map this?

You can try a simple program to reset USB devices.

How do you reset a USB device from the command line?

I think gpio16 controls the USB power,

[SOLVED] The XE300 we purchased is the model with a battery, as the without-battery model is out of stock at that time. while we do not need the internal battery and charging the battery releases more heat. so we removed the internal battery. you can simply turn off/on the USB power to reset your device.

usbreset can only reset a plugin USB operatable device,
as the device is in charging-only mode,
they do not accept USB commands.

the only way is to turn the USB port power off.
