ā€œGoogle sign-in failed. Please try again. ā€œ

Am I missing something? How do I use the app with tailscale?

nice! works fine i guess going to add more features eventually…if you can add the control off the accessories..

Could you double-check your network and try the Google sign-in again?

Google works now but again, how do I connect if it's setup on tailscale?

The app can’t connect through Tailscale,it only works via the GLKVM cloud service right now.

Absolutely! We’ll be adding more features in upcoming versions, and the one you mentioned is already in our plan.

Ok so no tailscale. I can't get the cursor mode to work with a mouse. Also, scrolling with touch, scrolls really fast!

To use an external mouse, you need to first ensure that it can operate on the system desktop after being connected. Also, we will optimise the details regarding the touch scrolling speed.

How would I go about that? Machine is a linux (NixOS) desktop if that matters.

Are you using an Android emulator on Linux?

No, I'm trying to use an android tablet (Samsung Tab S10 Ultra) to connect to the kvm that's connected to a linux (NixOS) desktop computer. No mouse is registering any movements, scrolling or clicks. Also tried it from my phone too with the same results.

Shows mouse & keyboard online… Tried usb & bt mice, same results. Mouse's back & forward buttons brings up the f1-f5 onscreen buttons… :-/ I can get the scroll wheel to work on a Samsung Flip7, but still no clicks or mouse movements.

External device compatibility still has a few issues, and the fast scrolling is likely caused by latency,we’ll work on fixing that in upcoming versions.

That is great news , wil the comet pro be supported from day one in this app?

Can't wait to test it :+1:

Yes! Waiting for your feedback

Yes, it will.

This is exciting news, thanks!

I’ve been using Chrome Device Inspect Tool with the GLKVM web app, so here are couple features that could be enjoyable in the Android app:

  • Pretty much all features currently available in the web app
  • Making the app usable without an account (see next point for use case)
  • Manually add a device (e.g. via IP address) if using it locally or via Tailscale
  • Better keyboard/mouse keys handling (as a reference: Chrome Device Inspect Tool does it well but struggles with some special keys such as [Tab], [Ctrl], [Alt], etc. It would be nice if the app handles them all neatly)
  • Microphone & front/back Camera forwarding
  • Allow Picture-in-Picture
  • Switch between light/dark mode

Can’t wait to see how it goes :face_savoring_food:

Thanks for the feedback, some of the features you mentioned are already planned for upcoming versions~! About the third point, just to confirm: are those special keys (like Tab / Ctrl / Alt) not working on your side at all?

I haven't tested this scenario on the Android app yet. The one I'm referring to occurs using Chrome Device Inspect Tool, and surely because those keys are intercepted by the browser and not forwarded.

It is therefore possible that this is already solved on the new GLKVM Android app, which would then reach the underlying goal : the Android app should solve those kind of issues we could have with old ā€œworkaroundsā€ before the app even existed
