Hello Friends:

I enabled AdGuard Home on my MT2500A unit and would like to manage it using the AdGuard Home Manager Android App.

I think I need to set something up with .htpasswd so I can add credentials to the App (I’m unsure).

Does anyone you have a HowTo procedure? I searched and found some but unsure if they apply to this particular unit. Perhaps I just missed finding it in my searches.

I don’t know the specific app, but this will likely help:

You need to set a username / password in the Adguard’s yml file in /etc/AdGuardHome on the router, i.e. numbers 2 and 3 on the page linked above.

Replace the user section in the yml file with the info from the htpasswd command:

users:
  - name: ...
    password: <HASH>

Hi @kartim391 Thank you for the comprehensive answer. It didn’t work for me, but I think it’s close and I need to mess with it a bit. It certainly will help others and so I marked it as the solution.

As soon as I am able to work out the kinks, I’ll add specific detail to this thread. Not yet sure why the App isn’t accepting the YAML credentials.
