How u install collect-mod-thermal/collectd-mod-thermal? Not available on mine…

Connect with Luci via the GL-inet Advanced Menu.
Then in Luci / System / Software: update the list
then you can install all the modules by typing the names in the filter field

My use case for the Brume 2: Mast mounted antennas connected to USB adapters. The Brume 2 will feed one or the other Internet stream via ethernet to a WiFi access point inside the trailer. Brume 2 on the mast acts as a gateway pulling Internet from either a USB cellular modem or a USB WiFi antenna (station mode only). It’s acceptable for me to manually switch between the two Internet sources depending on which is stronger.

My question: The USB WiFi adapter uses the MT7610U chipset. Is the MT76 driver available in the GLi repository for the Brume 2?

There are mt76 packages. But I don’t have a card to test.

I do not have a Mediatek MT7610U USB wifi adapter, but I previously tried one with the MT7612U on the Brume 2.

It appeared to be detected, but there is no Wireless page in the GL.iNet UI Admin Portal and the LuCI UI does not show the wfi adapter. There may some “magic” steps required that I do not know.

The magic step is Regenerate configuration. That ways OpenWRT knows which wireless radio’s exist.
That will however remove any current configuration, but that should not be an issue with Brume 2…

Has anybody tried to enable sqm (cake)? What kind of max speeds should I expect before cpu reaches its limit?

Hi

Which driver did you install to make it work with the RTL8156B based USB-A to 2.5G Ethernet adapter ?
I have a ugreen USB-A to 2.5G Ethernet adapter based on the RTL8156 but cannot make it work properly and the driver for RTL8156 is not visible on OpenWRT library. I tried everything

  1. I have it visible in devices as eth2,
  2. I have added it the the LAN bridge and edited the network file in etc/config to add it as well
    in LAN mode
I get an IP address via DHCP when connected to it but no traffic. trying the kmod- usb-net-rtl8150/52 did not help. I guess I need to install the right driver like I did with another adapter based on another chipset (available thankfully)
