That’s right… AGH is also a standalone app that can be installed on a Raspberry Pi or a Docker container. If you needed to remote in it, then you’d need to encrypt the admin page.
How many DHCP clients can Flint 2 handle?
All of them.
It does not depend on the hardware but on the configuration. In the GL GUI you could enable 253 of them.
Im quite new to Adguard so I need a little bit of help. If I need to use DoH or DoT, do I still need to use certificates? I don’t have plans to access it remotely.
I just need a simple DoH or DoT and nothing else. I also copied your upstream DNS server and tested it using 1.1.1.1 and I’ve got the same results as yours.
Its already working and I only need to use proper DNS upstream, right? I’ve also read something about this on Reddit and I just want to double check if my understanding was correct.
If AGH is on your LAN, and you won’t access it remotely (eg via VPN) then you only really need to worry about the upstream.
You could add few list upstream and Adguard home will auto best ping to connect dns servers.
For example I have 3 list:
About Encrypt setting you can use local certificate if you want

Do I still need certificate even if I dont plan to remotely access my Adguard or use private DNS?
Edit: I think I get it now. Thanks!
You need them if you want to use encrypted DNS between your device, the router and the DNS upstream.
If you don’t care about unencrypted in your own network (most people don’t care about it) you can just keep it turned off. DNS over TLS is fine.
This makes it more clear. Thanks!
You can host Adguard Home on a Virtual Private Server (in the cloud). That’s when you would need a certificate to encrypt traffic between your devices and your AGH server on the VPS. Having AGH built into GL routers makes setup so much easier.
There are certificates in the router itself you could use for encryption. These are the paths for the configuration (attached pictures) That’s how I am using them.
no it means your SIM provider it allow WiFi call
no special requirement on router side
When will appear new version frimware? I did not get notification from GL gui. I heard most people upgraded to 4.5.5 and where is change logs?
Here the changelog and the link:
Ive been using it since the day lincoln sent it and no issues so far aside from 2.4ghz but I don’t really mind it since the bandwidth / speed was already enough for my smart devices.
Thanks.
I belive that version is not stable version, that correct?
Unreleased beta firmware. I think they will add it to the download section soon.
Sometimes I have latency problems with my ioT devices likes sonoffs with tasmota firmware, sensors, etc. What I’m doing is using my GL-AR750s as a 2.4gh AP for now, even the internet speed is better. Hope this problem on Flint 2 will be solved soon…
So you should more think about it as some snapshot version.
Be prepared for trouble.
Update: I installed the 4.5.5 release 3 version and It works normally on my phone now using 2.4ghz. AX is also enabled and it didn’t caused problems even if my phone was no AX support.
Edit: Well it got throttled to 5mbps again. Idk why
