Did anybody try this on an X3000? I am looking for a simple gps tracker in my RV and LORAWAN seems to be a quite interesting Solution. But I hesitate to just install this Plugin and start playing with it….. it probably also additional needs a LORA USB Stick, connected with a gps roof antenna, in the router. Gps roof antenna is available.

Thx, as you can See I was Part of that discussion. The setup is lost After each update, that‘s why I asked if GPS can become Part of the Standard Applications since the coding is already available.
LORAwan could be an alternative.
I believe you’re referring to third-party plugins will be lost after a firmware update, and Meshtastic would likely be affected in the same way.
In addition, you would need to address driver support for the LoRaWAN USB device, install and configure the LoRaWAN gateway software, set up communication with GNSS LoRaWAN nodes, and handle message collection, parsing, and forwarding. (though Meshtastic seems to simplify some aspects).
That said, if you’re interested in experimenting and learning through the process, it can be an enjoyable project.
