Please refer:Gl-mt3000 v4.1.2 beta : quectel eg25-g with external USB enclosure - Technical Support for Routers - GL.iNet (gl-inet.com)

See if this helps:

I do not work for and I am not directly associated with GL.iNet

One of solutions - Rooter firmware.
For this you must:

  1. Download firmware, for example GliNet_MT3000-GO2024-05-01-ABSM.zip
  2. Flash using u-boot instruction
After that all works fine. More free memory, less cpu using, more vpn perfomance. May be free version of wifi drivers not work like propriatary, but it perfomance sucess me.
If GL-iNet still nothing to do with this feature of modem, i will use Rooter firmware.

Many thanks bro for advice. I will definitely try it after 2-3 month, as at this moment have limited number of tools. And in case of brick (sometimes happens :slightly_smiling_face:) , don’t want to remain without router for mentioned period.
The reason Gl-inet doing nothing with this popular feature among geeks, I think, is their solutions available on the market(Spitz AX (GL-X3000) Wi-Fi 6 AX3000 | 4G LTE CAT16 | Dual-SIM failover — GL.iNet, M2 5G Development Board — GL.iNet ) . Otherwise they will loose money. Too sad… .
