Monitor travel router's clients with Bark over VPN with home router

I am curious if there is a way to monitor clients connected to a travel router, which is connected by VPN to a home router, using Bark parental controls on the home router.

Here is my current setup:

  • Flint 3 has firmware 4.8.4 and Slate 7 has firmware 4.8.3
  • Flint 3 is connected with LAN (PPPoE) and Slate 7 is usually connected with WiFi repeater.
  • TailScale is set up with the Flint 3 as an exit node per How to Configure GL.iNet Router to host Tailscale Exit Node. (I also have GoodCloud site-to-site, AstroWarp, and Wireguard set up; I want to try to set this up with Tailscale, but I’m willing to use whichever VPN might work best with Bark)
  • Flint 3 is using the local ISP’s DNS server. I have not changed DNS settings for Slate 7.
  • Flint 3 (10.0.1.x) and Slate 7 (10.0.8.x) each use DHCP.

Thank you.

Hi

Unfortunately, Bark only works with devices on the local LAN connected to the home router, and it cannot monitor remote devices that are connected through a VPN.
