Network Storage on Beryl AX

Hello,

I got a USB drive on the Beryl AX. I ran the setup.

File Services > Enable Samba > YES

File Services > Allow Access Samba from WAN > YES

Works as expected on my Windows desktop and can map the drive using the IP and the User account.

But on my Samsung phone Files app, it recognizes its a shared drive but won’t accept the credentials.

As a test I enabled anonymous access and it works.

Any Ideas?

Hi

Please SSH into the router and run the following commands.
After the device reboots, test the connection again:

sed -i 's/smb encrypt = required/smb encrypt = auto/g' /etc/samba/smb.conf.template4
reboot
