You guys want a consumer router to do too much, build a x86 router with OpenWRT and install everything you want on it, I mean "everything" or connect different devices to y'all networks for different functions and everyone it's happy with "everything" y'all need
any chance ddns-scripts can be updated from 2.8.2-12 to latest?
Op24 v4.6.3 released for beryl ax, issue with home wireguard dns timing out whereas Protonvpn wireguard works.
Non op24 4.6.3 both wireguard works, what am I missing. Trying op24 mainly for work eap.
Reset DNS in your settings (regular DNS, not wireguard) from auto to manual then back to auto. Sometimes I see this on other routers and versions where DNS server settings just get confused or something.
Thanks will give it a shot. Weird part is non op24 it works fine.
Like I said, it is intermittent and happens sometimes for me. Multiple versions, multiple routers, just some flakiness somewhere in the order of connections or something. Doesn't happen often enough for me to really spend too much time troubleshooting yet.
Flint 2 owner here. Still on the December 2023 firmware. Pretty rock solid except wifi. Reluctant to upgrade to latest firmware as it's an older version of openwrt.
Holding out on op24 release to become more stable.
Can anyone share there experiences. I have a simple setup with adguard home and parental control running. News from the devs of the next release has gone quiet.
Thanks.
op24 been pretty solid for me since the first release, matter fat the Flint2 didn't became my main router until the release of op24
With this second release of op24 everything still pretty solid, I have adguard home, DHCP, parental control, wireguard server and client running on it, also SQM QoS works flawless with hardware acceleration off, argon theme, DDNS, Goodcloud, all working flawless
op24 4.6.3 is a newer release than the one you use, for my understanding:

None of the tunneling IPv6 protocols are supported still. Come on GLI! Not all of us get native IPv6 from our ISPs. If you manually add the packages for the tunneling (such as 6RD in my case), it is still not possible for it to work, presumably due to interaction with some of the closed source GLI modified packages. Thumbs down.
Back to running the OpenWRT stable build with custom package selection. OpenWRT runs pretty well actually, even though the user interface LUCI kinda sucks.
Still waiting v4.6.x firmware for the Marble
You heard from argon theme for LuCI?
Argon theme is not existing in the official openwrt repo, theres only 2 options either compile it yourself or use a custom build by someone, however these builds may have not all the packages he need.
Using Material theme. It is pretty good actually. But doesn't solve the "complexity" issue of OpenWRT. Basic tasks, like setting up a guest network or IPv6 are major undertakings in OpenWRT. In most commercial router firmware, these would be 2 second tasks.
I never said its "easy" to put it on, but it can be done and it looks great
