  1. Please post the response result:
When using 5G, execute the command AT+QGDNRCNT.
When using 4G, execute the command AT+QGDCNT

  2. Please share the router with us via GoodCloud and insert 8GB or more available USB disk to the router, please PM me the router MAC and Web UI login password, R&D would like to check the modem traffic info, thank you.

In the end it might had been a corrupt configuration since after resetting the router and manually put the configuration again it seems now dnscrypt is working. So false alarm it seems

Is there more information on this VPN Rule for v4.8 you mentioned?

Is it part of implementing this major usability and functionality improvement? (if disappointingly not can we get an update for when this will become available? Would be great to be able to use multiple OpenVPN connections to different ports simultaneously from the same Flint and have it so easy in the GUI that I could talk a completely non technical family member through setting it up over the phone in just a few minutes - that's exactly what my mock up solution would give and I know there's a great many who would love such easy control. No-one wants to be going anywhere near Luci (if they even have a clue where to start) when this can be easily achieved in seconds with a handful of button clicks from a friendly UI):

thanks
cc: @alzhao

It is designed exactly like this. But to me it is still complicated and we are changing the UI a little bit.

It is hard to tell a family via phone to setup anything on a router for me.

OK great, can't wait to try this out!

Yes I'm sure there's maybe some room for small improvements in the quick mock up image I created but the concept of easily assigning different simultaneously running openVPN connections to different physical LAN ports (or Wifi) with simple button clicks in the basic gl.inet GUI was the goal, if we can achieve that and you improve further based on some scenarios I didn't consider (without making it all a complicated mess) then I'd be interested to see what you've come up with.

Is there a 4.8 beta firmware anywhere for AX1800 Flint I could try out (even just to give feedback on this VPN port assignment feature)? I'd be using this feature extensively so more than happy to do some testing of how it works and usability suggestions to make sure we get this right at release  Firmware page just has this 4.7 beta available.

Yes never easy to guide a non technical family member through router settings but if it worked very similar to how I did the mock up I have no doubt I could take them through such changes even if they didn't know why they were clicking things, compare that to trying to achieve this via Luci! My phone only has 10 or so hours talk time, no way we'd be done in time...

@alzhao

I upgraded to 4.7 on my two devices Brume 2 and AXT1800. I found Syncthing on the plug ins list for brume two but not for AXT1800. is there a way to install it

Hi Macca,

Are your two GL-AXT1800's stable with the 4.7 release candidate firmware?

Do we have any indication from GL-Inet when the 4.7 firmware will go to a stable version for the GL-AXT1800?

Hello,

the v4.7.0 is already on stable version, your router should be received the update remind.

Hello,

These logs are caused by WiFi 5GHz SSID and 2.4GHz SSID are the same name.
Please set them to different SSID.

Currently GL firmware does not support Band Steering. Please do not set them same one, otherwise will cause the wireless clients connection issue.

HI, thank you for your answer. It is very strange because it was always set it up like this and only now I'm receiving this messages in the log...May be something changed from RC to final?

Definitely the errors are not present in the RC version nor in the beta version preceding it and the configuration is the same. So it might be something in the final release 8 that trigger the log error about the ath11k driver. I'm back to RC release 7.

Hello,

After updating my Flint router to firmware 4.7.0 Release 8, I can no longer install many packages, such as Transmission and p910nd. The packages are either unavailable or fail to install.

Could someone please help me resolve this issue? Is there a way to restore access to these packages or manually install them? I have the same issue from terminal, and 'opkg update' didn't help either

Thank you in advance for your support!

They are added to the GL repo. Please try to update again and install. Thank you.

Can we please have this package luci-app-sqm added to the GL repo as well and its dependencies?

4.7 release 8 completely unstable, the router wont run more than a day and have to plug it of the power, On 4.7 RC release 7 worked flawlessly for weeks no restarts, nothing. Just downgraded back to RC release 7
