New firmware version 4.8 being released for beta testing

I am logged into goodcloud now

Have you adjusted the priorities?

I do not know if this is related to firmware 4.8.0.
My ISP disconnected my ethernet because port 53 was open to the outside world.
After a lot of searching I found out that this was triggered by the Adguard package on the router.
When the setting:
"AdGuard Home Handle Client Requests"
was activated in the Adguard settings port 53 is opened to the outside world.
My ISP does not like that and I have to block all incoming traffic from port 53.
I already set up a firewall rule to block all incoming traffic TCP and UDP but as soon as the client requests are handled by Adguard Home still port 53 opens.
Other curious behaviour is that when that setting is disabled Adguard won't block anything anymore.
As said I do not know if this behaviour was there before this beta version, it is after using this beta version my ISP warned me and temporarily shut down my ethernet connection.
Is there any solution to that because it would be a flaw when Adguard could overule a safety setting in the firewall rules to block a certain port.

Would be happy to hear from you soon.

It's a matter of prioritization. The router will prioritize the policy that matches the tunnel higher up. If you need a tunnel to take over all other clients, rank this tunnel at the bottom.

The lines of the release notes are dated as to when the fixes/improvements were put in, so you can look at those lines that apply to the date range between the previous beta you installed and the date the one you're installing was built.

It clear if you know what you are messing around with. It isn’t GL’s job to teach you basic networking

LOL.
I will do my best at guessing next time.

just saw a new snapshot pop up for 4.8. No release notes yet.

Sorry for the trouble. This issue has been fixed in Beta 4.

I use the glinet app from the playstore to turn off/on the VPN but with the latest beta firmware it dosent even show the vpn is connected. Will there be a fix for this?

In the beta version of 4.8 for the AXT 1800 Slate, I can't find a way to manually set cellular modem parameters. Is there a manual setup tab or has that been permanently eliminated? Specifically I would like the ability to manually change the TTL value.

Do you see SIM profiles? You mean need to change settings in the profiles.

I will take a look. Thanks.

Got it....didn't see the sim card settings in the middle of the page.....thanks. Everything is working perfectly so far with the 4.8 firmware.

Even with lastest snapshot I still don't have remote GUI access in good cloud.

gl-axt1800 / v4-8-0 / errors

I had the problem with 4.8.0 with a normal Wireguard client and the Killswitch activated, additional a Guest WiFi enabled, the router would stop giving IPs via DHCP after some hours, both on the normal WiFi and guest WiFi network.

A normal reboot would not solve the problem and therefore I had to do a factory reset.

With the same settings I don't have this with v4.6.11.

In my case, there was no VPN active. Pretty much this is most default settings: Just WiFi SSID names/passed changed, clients IP assigned in Network / LAN / Address Reservation. Pretty much that is it on this router.

So I did:

  1. Full reset
  2. Do initial sign-in
  3. Checked Clients and these was no error messages
  4. Restored settings from 4.7.0 I had backed up before upgrade to 4.8.0
  5. Rebooted the router
  6. Loved back in, clicked on Clients and the error message returned.
  7. Just to make sure, I did cleared Safari cache, and restarted the browser.
  8. After logging back in I see the same error message popups
