Wow op25 version, really great. Op24 4.8.3 worked really good for me. I hope that 4.9.1 is that stable !

So far so good as a just 20 minutes installation experience.

Do advise if there are any kernel panics due to memory address issue which I faced frequently in 4.8.2 (Op24), Unable to handle kernel paging request at virtual address 005f59bb2b402e7c.

That is excellent news. Will definitely flash and try it over coming weekend.

Interesting, new project for the weekend :call_me_hand:

I woke up to no internet this morning.

Had to restart the Flint 2.

Not sure why yet.

Edit: another restart needed 30 mins later.

Just noticed this Process:

PID Owner Command CPU usage (%) Memory usage (%)
12563 root /usr/sbin/dnsproxy --upstream-mode=parallel --config-path=/etc/dnsproxy/dnsproxy.yaml 0% 123%
undefined ---- ---- ---- ---- ----

Beryl 7 when?

I can confirm same problem.

Flint 2 running the op25 4.9.1 will crash because of memory leak.

ONLY when AdGuard Home is ENABLED.

Reset the firmware’s setting, start from scratch, same problem.

I’m not running AdGuard Home.

It’s now been up for 3hrs 20 mins since last restart.

Interesting,.

If I enable AGH (only Hagezi Pro), it immediately increase memory usage to around 50% and increasing rapidly so the router crash within 30-60 minutes.

Now 1 hour since last restart, and I disabled AGH since.

Current memory usage is 23%, will post status update in the next few hours.

EDIT:

OK, it just crashed after around 3 hours, even WITHOUT AGH.

It started with this, then 13 minutes later out-of-memory :

Wed Jul 8 13:12:00 2026 kern.err kernel: [10153.325130] rcu: INFO: rcu_sched self-detected stall on CPU

And got the same dnsproxy high memory usage:

15660 1 root S 1211m 123% 0% /usr/sbin/dnsproxy --upstream-mode=parallel --config-path=/etc/dnsproxy/dnsproxy.yaml

Uploading every log I saw.

Runs perfect on my Flint 2 - Running Technitium DNS on Proxmox

I Hung Up and removed that 123% memory process.

Didn’t seem to cause any issues.

But 2 mins later - it came back!

Flint 2 uptime now 6 hrs 37 min

Same here, it crashed a few times in the last 24 hours. 3 times I had to remove power from the router, then it worked fine till this morning when it rebooted itself during the morning I think. Could not get the logs. Was a dirty flash on top of 4.9.0-op24. Adguard on. Returning to 4.9.0-op24 for now :frowning:

After first 24 hours GUI stopped. Zerotier and wireguard stopped. But nevertheless, I still have Internet.

So bad news for the New update ? Damn. I hope they fix it soon !!

Seems like every firmware they release has bugs and us customers have to be the guinea pigs.

Same out of mermory here. Sure it´s new release, but Adguard Home is an Basic Function for the router, so why they don´t test the Firmware before Release it with Adguard Running?

I don´t got any logs because i had to make uboot to the Router. SSH, nothing worked for me. After Reboot i only had 15seconds time to check what happens, than the Router freeze and no more response. It was also not possible to turn adguard off because the time is to short with SSH Connection. I did than install OP25 again clean and the Router reboots with it nearly every hour. So i go back now, because i need my Connection for work.

Dont have WAN connection with 4.9.1 op25 on my fathers Flint 2. Same issue as latest openwrt 25 official build. For my own Flint 2 4.9.1 works fine but its only Access Point. (im from Germany, Provider is Deutsche Glasfaser. Its their own Modem.)
