Problem with esim management - xe300 puli

Hello,
I have a problem with my gl x3300c6 puli, basically I bought the EIOT club esim card cause I have the need to install an esim card from skt telecom (I'm in S.Korea at the moment), but after installing the beta firmware, the moment i get to the esim Management Options I get this screen, even if the EIOT club esim is correctly inserted:

and just to give you all the possible informations, this is the status of my firmware:

Can you help me please? It is really important for me to make this thing work as soon as possible, cause I use it for my work.
Thank you in advance,

Hello, XE300 doesn't have enough storage space to run the eSIM program and you need to install a special firmware. Please download the firmware file at http://download.gl-inet.com/firmware/xe300/esim/ and install it onto the router. This firmware supports eSIM functionality.

I don't really understand. With the beta firmware that i had previously installed (then one i showed in the image, the 4.7.2 beta), even if i had the error of "no esim detected" at least under "applications" i could see the esim Management option. Instead with the suggested firmware from the link, that i downloaded and installed, so the 4.3.23, I cannot even see the "esim Management", it disappeared once again from the application voices. So what should I do? I'm really confused...

and also now as I enter in the router I always get this pop up window

Sorry, just confirmed with the related team, for XE300, both the beta version 4.7.2 and version 4.3.23 support esim. And you can't see the esim management page may be the sim card that you used is not a physical esim card.

Please provide the following information:

  1. a screenshot of the INTERNET page, just want to check the modem version and the sim card status
  2. log in to ssh terminal, as described at SSH to the Router - GL.iNet Router Docs 3 execute the following command to check your sim card:
    curl -s -X POST -H 'Content-Type: application/json' -d '{"method": "prod"}' http://localhost:3456/sdk/v1

but so should I go back at the last beta firmware that I alrady had before you told me to install the 4.3.23? so in other words should I go back to the beta 4.7.2?

Yeah, you can go back to beta 4.7.2.

here the internet page, now I'll try to follow the guide and execute that command

this is what i got when I used the command on terminal
but i have no idea if i got it right, I tried to do it on mac

Not sure about what I should do, cause I still get this in the esim management:

Please follow this post to update the modem firmware and try it again.
Alternatively, you can share your device with us via Goodcloud (link below), we can help you to update the modem firmware remotely

I get this error when I try to create an account to activate the cloud... I really don't know what to do, I'm losing my hopes with this, every thing I try instead of solving it, brings another problem

edit: now since apparently there was a problem while i was trying to create an account to be able to activate the cloud services, now I can't even try anymore, it gives me "undefined" error. What should I do at this point? This router seems doomed.

Please provide Puli with Internet access through the repeater or Ethernet, so that the router can be connected to GoodCloud and stay connected during the GoodCloud remote period.

Hi, I am facing the same issue with my Puli, but with the EG25-G modem. Inserted the EIOT club eSIM today but the eSim Manager does not appear under "Applications". The SIM shows as connected:

I am running version 4.327

Running the above mentioned command does not return anything:

Any help is appreciated.

After some intense testing with the different firmware versions availabe by end May 2025 I can share the following findings. All below mentioned firmwares were uploaded to the Puli using the Uboot method to avoid interference with settings or plugins from the previous firmware installation. So the router was always in a vanilla-state.

  • V 4.323 : labeled as special eSIM firmware contains the eSIM Manager. It was available under applications from the very first login.

  • V 4.325: does NOT contain the eSIM Manager. Also it did not came up after several reboots nor could I identify anything from the plugin section to install it from there.

  • V 4.327: latest stable firmware as of writing this post. Same as 4.325 - NO eSIM Manager available in this firmware build.

  • V 4.7.2: labeled BETA as of the time of writing - dated 2025-04-17. It contains the the eSIM Manager like 4.323. But the firmware in general (not in regards to eSIM) has still some stability and usability issues.

I am now back to V 4.323 because in my current use case I need the eSIM functionality. Would love to be on a newer build because of the updates the firmware received meanwhile. But for now a build date of November 2024 for the 4.323 (2024-11-07) should still be fine I guess.

Maybe GL.iNet Support Team should update the release notes of the recent builds to make others aware of the limitation regarding the eSIM availability.

Regards

Currently, none of the stable releases in our firmware download center include eSIM functionality. Version v4.3.23 is a special version specifically developed and designed for eSIM. Since v4.3.23 is not yet stable, the subsequent versions v4.3.25 and v4.3.27 were based on the latest stable version at the time, v4.3.18.

Now, given the growing number of users adopting eSIM, we are committed to integrating this feature into future stable releases.
