SFT1200 Opal SQM (If a Dev could look at this it would help)

Did you disable hardware acceleration as well? Afaik disabling it is needed for SQM.

yes you need to disable hw acceleration, but probably also this (if it exist):

/etc/init.d/gl_qos stop && /etc/init.d/gl_qos disable

also on some routers sometimes cake isn't really playing nice then you want to prefer fq_codel, since it is using siflower soc I don't know which one plays out better.

then if you also use wireguard, you need to also apply sqm on wireguard and probably balance the two or... you can go out of the comfort zone and use this script: SQM + PBR + Wireguard - #3 by Lynx - Installing and Using OpenWrt - OpenWrt Forum by Lynx.

Yea and it still is giving the same result

Oh I’ve been wondering about the QOS thing since I don’t see the option anymore with the newest update. So do I have to disable it via SSH? I don’t see anywhere that lets me disable it thru the regular UI

It should also be via luci on system -> startup.

But i remember having this different namings.

I found it in firewall.

I disabled it and now SQM works without fluctuating the speeds
