What is the error message?

  • Try to establish 443 VPN connection again and again, without success.
  • Some messages. I didnt do screenshots.
  • Test with two other VPN server, are the same.
  • I didnt test Open VPN by UDP.

You can try again in 3.013-0129 again, and send the log in here, you can find it in Advanced → Status → System Log.

3.010->3.013 didn’t change the VPN, it shouldn’t has this issue.

Today, i checked update from 3.010 to 3.013-0129 again.
After update:

  • no OPEN VPN connection by TCP 443
  • OPEN VPN connection by UDP 1194 is working

Does Openvpn over 443 work in the old firmware?

Is this a problem of your ISP?

After update to gl-ar750-3.013-0129:

Could you please send the log to me? One is TCP 443, another is UDP 1194.

  • I used TCP, Port 443

Addet from GL-AR-750 Creta, broken after update firmware from 3.104 to 3.105

It can be it will help for constantly improve the firmware:

  • not to use one firmware version number for more than one version (for deleted and current newer versions)
  • restore and use the deleted bug tracker
  • inform transparently for every future firmware version, which bugs was fixed on new firmware version and which features were added

Thats my two cents on this

Look forward.

There seems to be a lot more energy put into releasing new devices than into firmware. This would be okay if there was support in the mainline tree for a fully functional openwrt build. But the patches for the Slate have not been made and we are left without a satisfactory way to use the device (building firmware possible for me, but an annoyance). It encourages users to purchase devices with better openwrt and/or dd-wrt support

I was doing a mistake, the follow link is the right one to the actual alternate bug tracker:

Look forward.
