Slate 7, 4.7.3: Time zone router vs browser

Hi,

I get the following error message. I changed the time zone already a couple of times. My iPhone is using the correct time zone as well. Do you have any idea how I can solve that?
It was the same with the 4.7.2.

If I push the sync button I just get UTC time. But I am not in that time zone.

I did not reproduce this issue in my Slate 7.

I am in kolkata time zone / India. I have no other browser on iPhone or iPad, just safari.

You can download Edge or Chrome browser in the App Store and check one more time.

If it is manually selected as kolkata in GL GUI, the router time is correct, right?
If correct, please ignore it for the time being.

It’s the same with Google Chrome:

Pushing the Sync button leads to the UTC time. The message stays. :man_shrugging:t3:

I’d love to be able to disable the warning message to begin with, I do not care the times are out of sync, and maybe I like it that way.

We are aware of this issue, thanks.

In addition, the time zone settings of these related regions will also appear synchronized to "UTC" instead of region names: "Chennai, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi, Helsinki, Kiev, Riga, Sophia, Tallinn, Vilnius".

This warning message of GUI cannot be turned off. But we will improve this issue.

These region/country will be added in the v4.9.0 firmware. Thanks.

Thanks for the update. There isn't even an beta of the 4.8 version for the slate 7. When is the 4.9 scheduled to be released? Thank you.

I think the schedule of v4.9 firmware may not be that fast.

Set it manually please for now, sorry about that.

still same problem with latest Beta firmware for “Asia/Kolkata”.
Version: 4.0 (0802beta1)

These regiones/countries will be added in the v4.9.0 firmware.

Any update on this? I am in December and still having the issue. I am in the USA. Tried to sync, changed my time zone manually etc. Still have the error. On release 4.8.1

As mentioned in the above reply, the time zone function will be updated in the v4.9 firmware, and these regions will be supported.

Is the time zone of your PC (browser) corrected?

Just that nobody knows when v4.9 will be released. :man_shrugging:

Yep. Release a “flagship” device, then work on every other devices firmware except the flagship.

Yes. Time zone is correct on my PC/browser etc. no matter what browser or computer or phone/tablet I use it still gives me the error. Even manually setting it so it’s correct.

I just updated the firmware to 4.8.3 and still same issue. I’m in Melbourne Australia and it’s DST
It is annoying that the top of the line model has this issue. I’ll be getting the Pro when released and hope it’s smoothed out for it. No issues though, only when I login and see the warning

Sorry about this issue on router, let's wait the future update on v4.9, will improve this the timezone.
