so the problem born for the hardware acceleration feature?
I have the same problem, hardware acceleration - software solved the problem, but it's not a solution, just a temporary fix.
Was wondering why I had slow loading issues sometimes. I dont use adguard either. Switched to software accel based on recommendations. Will see how it goes.
Simply downgrading from 4.8.2-op24 to 4.8.0-op24 or to the stable 4.7.7 versions “without keeping settings” and operation was still quite flakey (router was even providing odd DHCP outwith the assigned subnet range!). I can however confirm that a debrick process using Uboot to 4.8.0-op24 restored order and router is running smoothly without a hitch since.
Thank you for your sharing.
I imported your configuration backup in my MT6000 with firmware v4.8.2, but it's strange that this issue is not reproduced.
ping
and nslookup
are normal
Ping statistics for 223.5.5.5:
Packets: Sent = 306, Received = 306, Lost = 0 (0% loss),
Approximate round trip times in milli-seconds:
Minimum = 7ms, Maximum = 30ms, Average = 10ms
Web page browsing is also normally.
I don’t know if this is helpful, but while I was on 4.8.2 (with no VPN, no Adguard), I found that initial browsing seemed OK and the timeouts started to occur after browsing to different websites after about 5 to 10 minutes. Going back to 4.7.7 was OK and I am currently on 4.8.2-op24 with cleared settings and this is also OK.
Yes, the problem doesn’t manifest immediately, but during the normal usage of the network. For me it reproduced more noticeably in my mobile phone than on my desktop.
I can confirm exactly the same behaviour.
i jumped to snapshot firmware and no issues…
This seems to be the “solution” (even if its not actually a solution) in most cases, so it must have something to do at least with hardware accel @bruce
What ever the issue is it’s seems to be connected to hardware acceleration on both op and closed from what I have seen. If I turn on HWA after a day or 2 it needs a reboot. I would look at a buffer, hardware loop with a config or something the logs are kinda worthless since the wheel was new GL logs have always been filled with “stuff” sorry but it’s true
Confirming exact same issue here. I had just purchased my Flint 2 so it was driving me nuts! Turning off hardware acceleration as mentioned above has caused no more issues and it has been rock solid since.
Based on these configurations (shared from dugliano and import backup) on standby my MT6000, I will continue observe.
Strangely, it is known that the hardware acceleration drivers of v4.7.7 and v4.8.2 have not been updated, never mind, we still check the hardware acceleration-related drivers.
When router has problems, execute the following commands on the client pc and router SSH terminal to check:
nslookup google.com
nslookup youtube.com
nslookup x.com
nslookup qq.com
nslookup bing.com
nslookup ip.sb
nslookup ip.me
ping 8.8.8.8 -c 60 # router/MacOS/Ubuntu...
ping 8.8.8.8 -n 60 # MS Win
May I know which one snapshot version is?
cat /etc/glversion
cat /etc/version.date
root@GL-MT6000:~# cat /etc/glversion
4.8.3
root@GL-MT6000:~# cat /etc/version.date
2025-09-19 03:13:27
I used before snapshot of 2025-09-18 and after snapshot of 2025-09-19 and no issues
I can also confirm disabling network accelerarion solves it (1d without problems so far)
The problem was intermitent, webpages, videos, reels, images, thumbnails hang and dont load on the initial connection. After connection estabilished (by manually reloading or refreshing),it goes fine. But sometimes it just hangs and it is a enfuriating experience browsing the internet.
Hello all,
May I know if other users' MT6000 with installation v4.8.3 (2025-09-19 03:13:27) is working normally?
If the snapshot firmware still does not work, please try to install this debug firmware, which is only for verifying this OP issue:
Please ignore the prompts when installing this debug firmware:
The file download is very slow. As soon as the debug firmware finishes downloading, I'll install it. I keep my settings. @bruce no issues with this debug firmware
As others noted, I also experience this issue with WiFi devices, and I can verify turning Network Acceleration off fixes this.
I can reliably reproduce this fault with my Samsung Galaxy S21 connected to the 5 GHz WiFi, and using the Reddit “RedReader” app.
With network acceleration on, clear the app cache, open the app, and open “All Subreddits”. None/most of the thumbnail images will not display.
Repeat the same with network acceleration off, and all the thumbnail images in the app display.
can u try with 2.4 ghz and hardware acceleration enabled?
