Spitz AX GL-X3000 & Verizon

I’m looking at cellular hotspot data plans (in the US) for the Spitz AX I just received.

Using Verizon’s IMEI checker, it reports that the device is not compatible. That seems unlikely.

Have any of the Spitz AX early adopters activated their AX on Verizon?

Which LTE module (RM520N-GL, EM160R-GL) is installed in your Spitz AX unit?

I do not work for and I am not directly associated with GL.iNet

I’ve been through this with Verizon and a different GL Inet router.

You need to activate the SIM in a supported device FIRST, then you can use it in an unsupported device.

I tried using the router to activate the SIM, and it just created a mess that required a week and a support agent to manually activate using an IMEI from a supported device.

Save yourself the hassle and just activate it in a device that is listed as compatible (cell phone, iPad, etc).

Yes i have. Im using a visible sim which is a vzw reseller. The auto function did not work. I had to go into manual setup amd change the apn to vzwinternet. After that it worked fine and am getting amazing speeds when compared to spitz 750v2.

The module is the Quectel RM520N-GL

The Quectel RM520N-GL is not on the Verizon approved modules list:

However, it still may or may work based on the suggestions above.

Note that the Quectel EM160R-GL is on the Verizon approved modules list.

I tried GL-X3000 (Spitz AX) using 2 different Visible SIMs. I have Quectel RM520N-GL modem. I’m unable to get 2 different Visible SIMs to work in GL-X3000. Both of the 2 SIMs have already been activated using the Visible app, on a cell phone, for about 5 months now. Both of the 2 Visible SIMs successfully work in an Android Samsung A54 phone and a Samsung Note 9 phone. Both of the 2 Visible SIMs successfully work in a Cudy P5 and MOFI 4500 router. However, both of the 2 Visible SIMs are reporting “SIM Card Not Registered” when trying to connect in the Admin Panel>Cellular menu using the GL-X3000 Spitz? I have tried many APN configurations with vzwinternet, vsblinternet, etcetera with no success. I’m using a Waveform 4X4 MIMO antenna. The Waveform MIMO is of course reporting excellent reception strength. I have tried both of the 2 SIM cards in both SIM 1 and SIM 2 slots on the GL-X3000 router. So, there is seemingly something in the GL-X3000 firmware or modem that is impeding the 2 SIMs ability to successfully register when being used in the GL-X3000 modem/router? Any info/insight/help would be greatly appreciated!

The Quectel RM520N-GL popped up on the Verizon Approved modules list now…
