Static route on Marble GL-B3000 (Beta Tester)

Dear Customer Support Team,

I am currently a beta tester for the Marble (GL-B3000) router and would like to provide feedback regarding my network setup. I am experiencing difficulties with communication between devices connected to Router 1 (GL-B3000) and Router 2 (GL-AX1800), despite configuring static routes. I am uncertain whether this is due to misconfiguration in my current network topology or if there may be issues with the Marble's handling of static routes. Here are the details of my configuration and the actions I have already taken:

  • Router 1 (GL-B3000):

    • Operates as the gateway to the internet
    • Router LAN IP Address: 192.168.8.1/24
    • LAN DHCP Range: 192.168.8.100 to 192.168.8.249
    • 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless enabled
    • NAT Settings: Enable Full Cone NAT and Enable SIP ALG
  • Router 2 (GL-AX1800):

    • Operates using WAN with 5GHz Wireless to connect to Router 1
    • Router LAN IP Address: 192.168.10.1/24
    • Receives DHCP IP from Router 1: 192.168.8.2/24
    • DHCP Range: 192.168.10.100 to 192.168.10.249
    • NAT Settings: Enable Full Cone NAT and Enable SIP ALG
    • Serves devices wirelessly only 5GHz Wireless and 2.4GHz is disabled.

Devices:

  • Laptop (connected to Router 1 wirelessly using 5GHz): IP Address 192.168.8.158/24
  • PC (connected to Router 2 via LAN): IP Address 192.168.10.100

Current Situation:

  • The PC (192.168.10.100) can ping and use iperf to communicate with the Laptop (192.168.8.158).
  • However, the Laptop (192.168.8.158) cannot ping or use iperf to communicate with the PC (192.168.10.100).

Configuration Changes Already Made:

  • On Router 1 (GL-B3000, 192.168.8.1):

    • Added static route:
      • Interface: LAN
      • Target: 192.168.10.0/24
      • Gateway: 192.168.8.2
    • NAT Settings:
      • Enable Full Cone NAT
      • Enable SIP ALG
  • On Router 2 (GL-AX1800, 192.168.10.1):

    • Added static route:
      • Interface: WAN
      • Target: 192.168.8.0/24
      • Gateway: 192.168.10.1
    • NAT Settings:
      • Enable Full Cone NAT
      • Enable SIP ALG
  • Temporary Testing Configuration:

    • Disabled the firewall on both the PC and the Laptop using firewall.cpl.

Despite these configurations, the Laptop still cannot communicate with the PC. I wanted to share this information as part of my feedback to help improve the product. Could you please advise if there might be any specific settings I need to adjust or if there could potentially be an issue with how the Marble router handles static routes?

Thank you for your attention and assistance.

pls try to setting wan zone's FORWAR rule to 'accept' on Router2's network->firwall-> general settings
