Disable NAT using extender mode?

Just got a GL-MT3000 and set it up in extender mode. I'm using it as a wireless bridge to one of my access points. I disabled both wifi bands since I don't need them. I mainly just want my laptop connected to the lan port. It was easy to setup and works but I'm looking to disable NAT and DHCP, basically act as a switch+AP so I can see my laptop from my main router. It's connected over a wifi 6 connection on the 5ghz band, then my laptop is connected with an ethernet cable to the LAN port.

I found one main thread which seems sort of relevant - GL-X3000 - Bridge Mode WAN IP Passthrough - Technical Support for Routers / 4G LTE, 5G NR, USB modems - GL.iNet (gl-inet.com)

Then this more recent one with a similar question - Client (NAS) connected to GL-AR300M-16-EXT in extender mode not visible in main router device list - Technical Support for Routers / VPN, DNS, Leaks - GL.iNet (gl-inet.com)

There's an SSH command in that first thread that enables a passthrough mode. I tried it but it didn't work. I rebooted the mt3000 and it still assigned the 192.168.8.x IP to my laptop. Seems like it's still doing NAT since my main router still doesn't see my laptop. Is it possible to have some sort of passthrough mode or just disable NAT when using WWAN?

If you set Extender mode, it will be a relay. After it is successully connected, it should pass the IP of the parent router, not 192.168.8.x. But you may need to disconnect the cable and reconnect so that the IP refreshes.

Nothing need to do for the NAT etc.

For MT3000 you can also try the WDS mode.
The WDS on MTK chipset is a little different so it may work with all kinds of network.

Thank you, I was getting the extender vs repeater modes confused. I was actually in repeater mode which is one of the router modes.
