Fancy new Mudi 7

The screen protector hasn’t been made yet — I think the PM team may consider doing it later based on market feedback.

The TS9 antenna is already under development.
Its physical appearance is amazing — the transmit/receive section of the antenna is transparent (we still need to verify practicality and performance, not final version; the wiring wouldn’t be transparent). Well, I can’t say too much more or the PM will hit me.

I can buy more batteries.

A protective film is included on the screen.

Who says we all want one? This sounds like a problem you should solve on your own

Saucy language for a WiFi forum!

Let the market decide. If the market demands a screen protector - someone will offer it.

If the market demands spare batteries - someone will offer them.

Please be careful with your comments! Warning!

The PM team of Mudi 7 will decide whether to develop these accessories based on market demand.

Reply to your question above:
It's an ordinary plastic film.

The screen itself is covered by a layer of glass, which is somewhat better than the plastic film.

Is the charging port (which, as I understand it, is charging-only) USB-C PD? And is it pass-thru charging (i.e., if the Mudi is on and you plug it into a charger the power won’t drop and the Mudi won’t reboot)?

It switches to pass through once battery is fully charged.

So if I understand you correctly, if the battery isn’t at 100%, connecting the M7 to a charger will reboot the device?

No it’ll not reboot, it’ll simply charge. Like a phone.

May I ask what is wrong with you guys?
It's a forum about routers. R-O-U-T-E-R-S. This is the most unemotional place I would expect.

Everyone is invited to adhere to basic community standards or leave the forum if this friendly interaction seems too "soft" for them. This is a place for technical exchange, not personal attacks.

Anyone who feels the need to insult other users is welcome to come and get a timeout from me. And if you think this is unfair, once again. ROUTERS. You know... Those little luxury devices that provide internet access. :gl_emoji_cry: Absolutely no reason to even raise your voice.

:seal:

And now back to the topic; don't discuss anything else than the Mudi 7.

Does anyone here know how a Mudi 7 will deal with surveillance devices like a Stingray? On Android and iOS, there is an option to disable 2G/3G.

You can always disable cellular or even pin the device to a specific tower.

Is there a convenient way to pin to one tower - with persistence across reboots? Not just for Mudi 7, but also for Mudi V2, Puli AX, etc.?

That's it? No other mitigation solutions?

I suspect I know, but why “mitigation solutions”?

Why not? Mitigate everything. Always. Let’s call that “privacy”.

I hate to reveal my cohort, but … there was a 90’s Budweiser marketing slogan. Why ask why? Try Bud Dry.

Why ask why? Mitigate!

Well, IMO “mitigation strategies against Stingrays” sounds a bit tinfoil-hat to me and I’m thinking maybe off-the-shelf hardware goes counter to that, but hey … :man_shrugging:t5:

Well, this would be the most effective, I would say.

You can use band masking to lock your device on 5G/LTE - in that case, the IMSI shouldn't be interceptable that easily. See Connect to the Internet via cellular (Firmware v4.7 and earlier) - GL.iNet Router Docs 4

Yes. That is one mitigation strategy.

Would be nice to be able to do it via cli.
