You can by running the necessary AT commands via cli.
Why should it reboot? It will just keep running and will charge the battery until it is 100% charged. Thereafter the AC power will just “bypass” the battery in order to extend the battery life time. You can also operate Mudi 7 with battery removed by the way.
Well I hope we are still allowed to compare vs competitor products? Otherwise how can we proof that Mudi 7 is the best ? ![]()
Some context is lost because two personal attacks were rightly removed by a vigilant moderator.
Thus, the problem was personal attacks - not discussion about routers, GL or others.
You can compare as much as you like - at least if you don't start personal attacks ![]()
@EvolvePlease is correct. Discussing isn't the issue: Fighting is.
Just as a side note: I hope at some point of time GL.iNet will consolidate and structure all the Q&As for Mudi 7 in a separate forum (not open for public comments). It would be helpful for many new customers. I have seen already some questions asked for the 3rd time just here. And there is also the “Mudi 7 Thanksgiving” stream in parallel.
Some badly-designed products I’ve used in the past don’t do pass-through USB-C PD charging, so when it’s plugged into a power source it brings the internal power down briefly but long enough to reboot. I had a feeling GL got it right, but wanted to be sure ![]()
I think it is the opposite: when a device is plugged into a USB-C PD charger, the charger negotiates the voltage/current; when another device is plugged into the charger, the charger interrupts the power to all devices plugged into it to renegotiate all the loads.
So the question is, given the battery, can the Mudi stay powered on while the power is interrupted and then renegotiated. Every other USB-C router reboots.
EDIT: My v2 handles the power application/removal/renegotiation without rebooting.
I know what you mean, but no, this isn’t what I’m talking about (i.e., a charger with only one port, so no reconfig necessary).
Any plans for
*automated preconfigured sqm like on the Nighthawks? (mitigating bufferbloat especially in NSA)
*pcap UI integration? (or even better ntopng)
Also what is storage/ram size please? Please feel free to adjust my preorder price instead of scaling down ![]()
I‘m really sure it has 8gb Storage.
And i heared of 2gb of ram.

Is the Mudi 7 capable of connecting to a 5G Standalone network? This seems to be the newest 5G standard.
Are you able to confirm that the Mudi 7 doesn't have a GPS or Beidou chipset?
What are you insinuating?

Hi
Please check our answers below:
- Yes, Mudi 7 supports 5G SA networks.
- Its module includes GNSS support (GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, QZSS), but this is disabled by default and there’s no antenna connected—so in practice, it can be considered unusable.
im looking forward to putting my ZTE U60 Pro MU5250 (X75) vs Mudi 7 (X72) on 5G speed tests, i suspect the speeds will be pretty much the same
Keep us posted.
Mudi 7 with dual sim and esim is a big pros vs. the ZTE U60
Does any one know is Mudi 7 able to support the Wifi repeater function, or precisely to share the paid in-flight wifi with multiple devices. Thanks!
Hi
Yes, the Mudi 7 supports Wi-Fi repeater functionality and can also connect to common public hotspots that use a captive portal.
