This information cannot be announced at the moment, please wait for the official website to release.
A little bigger than the Mudi v2, but not too heavy.

Let’s work this out.

The Mudi E750 is 300Mbps (2.4GHz), 433Mbps (5GHz), adding those together gives you the 750 model number, same on the legacy AR750.

So E5800 is more than likely BE5800, so WiFi 7 with a maximum throughput of 5800 Mbps.

Looking at other BE5800 devices, they are Tri-band but only max of two bands simultaneous MLO, so I imagine that the device is going to give a choice of 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz simultaneous or 6Ghz on it’s own at 5765 Mbps, which would give the Mudi 7 it’s E5800 model number.

Will the Mudi 7 be tested/compatible with Calyx Sprout tmobile SIMs like the Spitz AX and Puli? Asking on behalf of happy Calyx-Glinet customers who itemize their 1040s (Calyx is a 501c3 charity).

Calyx SIM/eSIM + Glinet Spitz AX + Omnicharge Omni20 (portable AC outlet for travel) = best internet ever!!!

If it is compatible with T-Mobile 5G home internet (which is indicated), it will be compatible with Calyx.

does it support IMEI change? For me personally matter to have this option in countries like Turkey and Egypt don’t be blocked after 14 days. And how about blocking internet sharing by mobile operators, do mudi solve this restriction too?

do you mean IMEI masquerade, where you swap the IMEI with another device you legally own so that you can use it on your chosen mobile operator in the countries where restrictions are in place

Changing an IMEI in the United Kingdom carries a 5 year prison sentence and a fine, so hopefully you do not mean permanently as otherwise the United Kingdom would ban GL-iNet from selling this device in this country and it would be confiscated by Border Control:

Let me help your misunderstanding. His question was crystal clear: Does it support IMEI change?

It is a simple yes or no question, not an invitation for philosophical, legal or moral diatribe.

I believe this point has been addressed in this thread and, as I understand, the answer is “yes”. IMEI mutability is supported.

No it does not, because IMEI change is permanent.

Are you suggesting that once changed, an IMEI can never again be changed to another IMEI or back to the original?

Or do you mean that an IMEI change is persistent … until the next change?

In my experience with most Quectel modules, IMEI changes are not permanent, they are persistent until the next change. Maybe there is a new “feature” I am unaware of - such as triggering an eFuse after first mutation.

Will it have Openwrt as well? I heard rumors that it won’t have Openwrt support… so for Tailscale configuration etc it might be a tricky one

100% want to know this as well, this a HUGE thing for many of us, and I imagine GL-iNet as well given they maintain their own fork. Can any GL-iNet employee help clarify this for this? Based on this video, it was stated that the Mudi 7 would NOT support OpenWRT and I find that hard to believe. I rely on the web interface for many things and this would be a real blow to an otherwise PERFECT device in the hardware category.

I believe the video primarily highlights that the built-in screen is not intended for complex interfaces like LuCI or other third-party plugins.

But you can still access the full GL.iNet Admin Panel and LuCI by connecting a device to the Mudi 7’s LAN or Wi-Fi network.

Tailscale will be supported too.
