1. It can be upgraded directly to v4.9.1. There is no need to upgrade to v4.9.0 first.
2. It's fine to upgrade through either the Admin Panel or the GL.iNet Download Center.

Is there any news for the GL-X3000 ? Is it going to receive a stable v4.9 or will it skip directly to v4.10 ?

For the X3000, our current plan is to skip version 4.9 and directly to version 4.10. At present, we do not have a specific ETA available.

I’d say skip 10 and go to 11 beta. I just loaded that to my mt3000 and I'm happy
