Flint 2 (GL-MT6000 ) - bug reports - collective thread

Mine works properly. I tried copying a 52MB file from my PC to Flint-2 USB. However, my stick was formatted with NTFS.

I also dont find those kind of error logs on my end.

4.6.0 (4/20)
No keep settings

Confirmed this problem is back again on Beta 4.6.0 (20/Jun) when installing it without the "Keep settings" and restoring the backup file in Advanced Settings --> LuCi --> System --> Backup --> Restore

Screen record to show the problem (Ctrl + C --> Ctrl + V) on Windows 11:

Maybe because of the backup configuration? How about a fresh install?

If it's due to the backup, I should see this problem also when copying and pasting 100Kb files on the shared folder.
But I can't reproduce the problem with small files.

Additional info: I can move the files between directories in the shared folder without any problem. I mean from Flint2 to Flint2

The issue is only when moving big files from Windows to Flint2 shared folder.

This problem didn't happen to me.
I updated here from the beta version on the 19th to the beta/rc on the 20th and they corrected the adguard that had the screen frozen.
Apparently so far I'm not seeing any bugs.

There is one from Adguard but it is related to Adguard itself, so the package's devs must resolve it.

exFAT causes much trouble on all GL devices. I would avoid it.

here whenever I use exfat I can't record anything on the device.

But doesn't make sense to use NTFS in a Flash Drive... Journaling is not need at all.

exFAT should be much more compatible with Linux than NTFS

But, ok, I'll try NTFS

NTFS is totally fine on some flash drive. I mean ... that's how Windows USB sticks worked for years

Journaling is specially useful when you eject your USB stick too early.

So what's the plan to update openwrt versions on the stable branch?
I was looking at this DDNS Luci showing wrong last/next update date/time - Installing and Using OpenWrt - OpenWrt Forum and saw it doesn't seem to be included in the openwrt build on the beta branch.

Edit: saw a post in another thread about waiting for op24 to be stable.
I'll try snapshot again tomorrow, hopefully the VPN policy routing works well.

Almost 130 days have delayed connections via cable than WiFi. I mean use a PC with cable and slowly open any websites than mobile with WiFi. Looks like memory overload usage.
Finally, I rebooted the router and smoothed both. I think the problem is memory with old firmware.
Also, I want to know staff fixed about bug up time in GL UI
Many thanks.

Trying to restore some packages from 4.5.8 (I'm currently on 4.6.0)

Installing ddns-scripts-services (2.8.2-43) to root...
Collected errors:
 * opkg_download_pkg: Package ddns-scripts-services is not available from any configured src.
 * opkg_install_pkg: Failed to download ddns-scripts-services. Perhaps you need to run 'opkg update'?
 * opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package luci-app-ddns.

Seems this is missing from gl repository or it has changed the name.
Does anybody have a solution/workaround for this?

Thank you!

Are the 4.6 snapshot releases for MT6000 based on proprietary drivers? Thanks!

Yes. Only the 4.x.x-opxx releases are based on the open source drivers.

Hi!
I have an issue with repeater mode. During scan, I don't have Internet access. I see a warning message that guest Wi-Fi network will be temporarily unavailable during this scan, but I don't use guest Wi-Fi and my default WI-FI is losing connection during search.

It is true for 4.5.8 and 4.6.0 firmware

I can't attach a video, so here are screenshots

In the connecting phase, the Main Wi-Fi on the corresponding band may be disconnected for a few seconds.

It is the principle of wireless scan, probably the main/guest WiFi occur disconnect -> a few seconds (repeating the upstream WiFi) -> re-connect

Formatting it as EXT4 seems to have fixed the problem...
