So this is the main gate way that I am getting from the modem where the Flint 2 router is connected.
looking at the Ipconfig, I can see that the ip address allocation is 192.168.8.x

If yes, it could be related to your vpn policies/dashboard, you can edit the client but you can also edit the global policies.
You can check allow lan, and maybe also allow wan just to out rule the possibility it blocks it through that way, if it doesn't work just set them back to default.
After the 4.6.2 upgrade the router is getting into infinite reboot cycle and it never comes back up, unless I power off it.
Once that is done it work fine for the next few hours. The wifi kick off was happening on the lower versions 4.5.8 and lower.
Do you use the original power adapter?

Yes the device the error message was on is connected via a wire to the router.
I haven't set any rules for any lan to be blocked, just using the default global rule

Try clicking on the gear icon on the vpn client, and see if you can allow access to lan.
If its not there, above the global proxy settings, you have on the right global options click there, there should be options in one of the two.

Maybe it is time to claim the warranty from GLiNet
Try checking Remote Access Lan.

Upgraded to 4.6.2 from 4.5.8 not keeping settings and before when doing the wireless channel scan in Luci on 4.5.8 it would never show anything (guessing it was a bug) and now on 4.6.2 it does show other wifi points in the area and what channel they are using, but it doesn't show what channel and graph of the Flint 2. This feature worked perfect with the 4.5.2 firmware mine shipped with.

Did "Parental Control" worked in 4.5.8?
Simple feature - and no chance to block Brave on PC in LAN 
Your device with IP 192.168.8.169 tries to use websocket, I would say.

Just ignore it, seems to be some issue within the firmware.
nginx log is pretty useless on the router anyway.

What is fresh start? Not keeping the settings, but after new FW loading a backup or something else? Thanks.
AFAIK a fresh start would be selecting not keeping the settings and WITHOUT loading any type of backups as I read it can cause issues.
