When you updated versions you need to check firewall adguard TCP and UDP. After that full restart adguard home (switch off then on).
Thank you very much for your reply.
I did an U-boot to downgrade my A1300 to Version 4.2.0 firmware and just enable AdGuard which work fine with default AdGuard DNS filter list loaded, the AdGuard version is V0.107.8.
After update to Version 4.2.1 firmware, AdGuard is running but not loading the default AdGuard DNS filter list. Count stays at “0”. The new 4.2.1 updates AdGuard to V0.107.26.
Same as above U-boot A1300 to 4.2.0 but update to latest firmware 4.5.17, which also update AdGuard from V0.107.8 to V0.107.26. It fails to load DNS filter list.
Wonder any GL.inet experts help to give us instructions to downgrade AdGuard to V0.107.8 from V0.107.26 so that we can update A1300 to latest firmware version 4.5.17 but use old version V0.107.8 of AdGuard.
Thanks & Best Regards,

Thank you, I will submit this information to evaluate if it available to merge in the newer router firmware.
Are there any updates on this topic? Upgraded to 4.5.19 but AdGuard still downgraded version V0.107.26...
J33Bee,
I get around the problem by downgrade A1300 to V.4.2.0, set up AdGuard. After complete then upgrade firmware to V.4.5.19. Hope it works for you.
Best Regards
Thank you for assisting with this! Very appreciated. Can I do a downgrade and restore config or will the config be intact after a downgrade?
Never did a downgrade and it's the other way around to fix something in AdGuard which is broke in a newer version... @bruce any updates on this topic?
On downgrade to V.4.2.0 firmware, the configuration will be reset to default reset firmware state. As my setup is quite simple sorry I never tried to restore the config. On firmware V.4.5.19, AdGuardVersion: v0.107.26 seems more stable, I can update the blocklist daily.
Regards,
Due to hardware limitations, currently, it is suggested to downgrade the ADG version in the latest firmware.
Or refer to ymlee's method.
Is there a manual to downgrade ADG from GL.inet? You guys advertise with ADG but give a workaround in order to have it fully functional working.
If I knew this up front I never bought this hardware limited router...
