Marble and SQM.

Hello everyone!

I'm writing a post about sqm here too, since I saw that another user had some luck with packages/a repository getting added.

I'm facing the same issue on the Marble. May I ask, would it be possible to deploy/add this package? Thank you!

I'm not sure about marble with SQM, but I can tell you how I did it in Berly and Brume 2. I went through the APP/Plugin page and installed the Luci add-on, and that worked for me.

You can make the config in Luci page:

And there you can config it:

Hello, thank you for the instructions! I'm doing the same, but for me the kmod-sched-cake package is missing, so I'm unable to get past the installation phase. I believe the cause is similar to what is outlined in the post I linked previously, the kmod repository has not been deployed yet for this architecture.

Install trough SSH:

opkg update
opkg install kmod-sched-cake

Thanks for the instructions again, however ssh wouldn't work either, since the repository has not been deployed yet, which means that the package is missing. (As I mentioned before.)

Regardless, thanks for the help again!

Really??
I am surprised, because I tried it on my mango before telling you. And it worked.
Maybe is a repository missing?

Can you show the output of the opkg update?
I want to check what repository’s you are getting updates from.

Thanks @hecatae . I also wanted to add the error I'm getting:

Unknown package 'kmod-sched-cake'.
Collected errors:
 * opkg_install_cmd: Cannot install package kmod-sched-cake.

Yup, it seems that indeed we have different sources on the repository:

Are you willing to install it manually?

Yup, mainly because of the SoC maker I guess. You seem to have a MediaTek MT7981, which is the Brume, I guess? I have the Marble which has a Qualcomm SoC, namely the IPQ5018.

Sure, as long long as it doesn't brick my device.

Spitz Plus is the same SOC as the Marble, both will use the same opkg repositories, so both are missing SQM.

I should propose this as a future feature on Marble I think :thinking:

Hopefully we see it with 4.7

Hello @hecatae. Sorry for the mention, but I saw that 4.7 got released, and that you decided to install it. May I ask, did you encounter any issues so far, and more specifically, does SQM work on 4.7?

Using same repositories as 4.5.19 so required packages are missing for SQM

Yes. I can't install SQM in the beta firmware on my Marble.

This is still an issue for this device.
